We hope you enjoyed “Build You First SharePoint Framework Webpart” last week! We apologize if anyone was having sound issues during the webinar. Thankfully, the recording we got didn’t catch any of that! So, if you missed any details during the session or didn’t get a chance to join us, below is a webinar recap and the recording.
How to build SharePoint Framework (#SPFx) based webparts
In typical Eric Overfield fashion, this was a fast-paced, and information packed session! We started off with an overview of the SharePoint Framework (#SPFx). Eric works through what it is, how it has grown since 2003, and all the different stages it’s gone through. We then jump into the toolchain itself and look at just how we will be building our framework webparts. Eric shows us how different this is than classic SharePoint development and how that’s a good thing! Following that, we transitioned into looking at the webpart components – what makes up a webpart and how it all fits together. Eric concludes by talking about the extras of webparts, specifically looking at how to add webpart properties, how packaging works, and covering just about anything else that comes with playing around with webparts.
For those wanting to view Eric’s slide deck, it is available to view here.
