PixelMill is looking forward to Microsoft Ignite in May, specifically, the news it will deliver in regards to enterprise technology (looking at you SharePoint 2016). We are proud to be a sponsor of this event and anticipate the gathering of people from all over the Microsoft community in one place. With over 600 sessions announced so far and almost a third of those being dedicated to SharePoint, this event is definitely going to bring us together to share, learn, and explore.
We are excited to announce that PixelMill President and cofounder, Eric Overfield (@ericoverfield) will be delivering a session at Ignite alongside Naomi Moneypenney of ManyWorlds. Their session on integrating Yammer into SharePoint will cover everything from planning, integration, design, capabilities, governance and terms of service. All of these will be shown with real case studies. The current trend in company portals is the integration of social and here at PixelMill we have been meeting the challenges of branding and implementing social into intranets for our clients.
As of right now there are 617 sessions in the session catalog for Ignite. Sessions are organized into 4 levels with many of them being in the 200 and 300 level. There is a large emphasis on productivity and collaboration as well as the cloud. With so many sessions from a large pool of topics, you will be able to learn new topics as well as make your current knowledge level more robust.
This cross platform event brings together many business and industry leaders together to explore other technologies and industries. Most of your exploration will be happening in the expo hall where around 150 companies including PixelMill will be represented. We are eager to mingle with other companies as well as attendees for the 4 day long exhibition event. Other opportunities to explore include the welcome reception on Tuesday (5/4) as well as the Women in Technology (WIT) luncheon towards the end of the week on Thursday (5/7). Rumor has it that we are aiming for the world’s largest SharePint in Chicago this year, if we tap into these other areas we can definitely meet this goal. It will be great to show everyone how connected and fun our SharePoint community truly is.Rumor has it as well that we are aiming for the world's largest SharePint in Chicago this year Click To Tweet
